Character's name: Zelos Wilder Series your character is from: Tales of Symphonia Occupation in Triou: Major Pop-Icon Company: Black Out Job: Lead Vocalist Background and personality info about your character: Growing up in the lifestyle of a social elite, Zelos initially comes across as shallow and immature, suavely running into any situation with the intention of wooing any young, pretty girls in the vicinity (and succeeding the vast majority of the time). Well-known to begin with due to his position in society, his popularity sky-rocketed after his band's independently-produced, self-entitled album, "The Chosen," went gold-record in a week. This attracted the attention of Black Out Records and the group was signed on before they knew of Zelos' connection to the company, a little-known fact to those who believe that they only got a record deal because of his father. He also frequently writes letters to the members of his fanclub and was planning to name their second album "Wilder's Hunnies" until his bandmates actively petitioned against it. The fanclub, formerly called "The Zelos Wilder Society," upon hearing this, synonymously agreed to rename the club after the afore mentioned. Zelos writes his own songs and although the ones that stand out the most are those that are huge hits at clubs (shallow, over-produced tracks, but great for dancing), his genuinely insightful lyrics are the ones that are most often overlooked. Zelos' father, a highly successful member of Black Out's Corporate Board, went through a bloody (metaphorically-speaking) divorce with the mother of his half-sister, Seles, upon hearing that he must marry the daughter of a wealthy associate to retain his position as a member. Shortly after the divorce came through, Zelos' mother mysteriously died and suspicion pointed to his father's ex-wife. She was tried and convicted, sentenced to life in prison while Seles was sent away to a year-round boarding school. Feeling guilty that his son would grow up without a mother, Zelos' father surrounded him with every luxury and material pleasure a child could possibly want; however, unconsciously denying him what he really wanted: love and companionship. This eventually led to Zelos breaking off contact from his father altogether and though he is also signed onto Black Out, they no longer speak to each other. As children, both Zelos and Seles were very well-versed in the piano, but the former was made to stop after the divorce settled. He's retained some of his skill by playing the baby grand at the studio after everyone's left. Zelos also travels incognito from time to time to avoid the paparazzi, which also may or may not include wearing oddly-colored wigs and funky sunglasses. |
